Briefing about the book:

Consists of more than 800 informative and unbiased abstracts of research articles, study reports, experiments, and books on evaluation; published during the period which spread over for 35 years from 1960 with a major portion representing 1980s. Intends to disseminate information on evaluation among the researchers and practicing teachers; also to create awareness and cross fertilisation of isdeas among those dealing with language and literature in the Indian context to undertake similar studies. Each entry included here is composed of 'purpose (or hypothesis) of the work', 'approach (or strategy) adopted', and 'evidence obtained (or conclusions drawn)' so that the users can get an overall idea about the work being described, in a quick glance. Author and subject indices (titles) are provided at the end, for easy reference.
