KEY TO THE SIX DIGIT NUMBER CODES IN LANGUAGE

[assigned to the major, minor, and sub components of the object being assessed]

Here, the object refers to the concepts of language; the components of the object are listed as the constituents of the GFR for language. The hierarchical levels of the components being dealt with, the corresponding terminology parallels of the Indian language concerned, and the dimensional problems being treated in the MILES volumes can all become easily accessible with the help of these computer number codes.

         OBJECT BEING ASSESSED

Let’s look at the following constituents of the GFR along with their Number Codes :

From left to right. First digit refers to the discipline taken for testing
[ i.e - Language]

Next two digits refer to the major components viz., Levels in Language
[ i.e - Phonology in Language]

Fourth and fifth digits refer to the minor components [ i.e - Segmental features in Phonology]

Sixth digit refers to the unknown dimension (problem) [ i.e . Boundary of a vowel single sound under Segmental features]
